Nature takes over

This year I wanted a rustic garden. A garden where the man made objects blended in with nature. Considering my 'garden' is actually just a series of steps with a tiny green patch at the bottom, this was a bit of a challenge .

I made little houses from logs and chose natural materials like hessian to keep a neutral tone on my papier-mâché models .

Now, as hoped, nature has 'adopted' the models and decorated them in her unique style. The ivy is curling around gnomes and the tiny succulents have rooted and bloomed on the log houses.
