Love them or hate them!

I hate the plastic varieties but just LOVE creating my own made from ..... well, all sorts!

Felt, clay, plastic bottles, empty cans and even old clothes.

I've made tiny gnomes and life sized gnomes. Gnome varieties for Christmas and others for Valentine's Day. Some are crazily decorated with artificial flowers while others are living gardens with plants sprouting out of their hats!

This little one I made as part of an English lesson with one of my pupils. (I like using art and craft activities when I'm teaching because it's more fun and also relaxes the children so they are more confident to talk.)

Usually I use the fibres from a floor mop for the beard but this time I've used wool I found in the Tedi shop. It's a bit fiddly removing the little bits of cotton that keep the fibres together but the result is a mane of glowing hair! Well worth the trouble.
